Northern Sinfonia’s reputation for excellence and its thrilling musical relationship with Music Director Thomas Zehetmair has led to engagements at the Edinburgh and Aldeburgh Festivals and at the BBC Proms and a residency at the Hong Kong Festival as well as tours of the Netherlands, Austria, Germany and Hungary.

The orchestra’s versatility combined with a reputation for excellence, means it can take performances to venues as diverse as rural churches, community centres, theatres and stately homes as well as the worlds leading international concert halls. In addition to UK and international appearances, the orchestra is committed to performing in and around its home-base in the North of England.
