Exploring Music: Choral Music

Choral music is, quite simply, music sung by a choir. However, the style, scale and sound of choral music can vary dramatically, as demonstrated by the differences between the evocative sounds of the Latin mass to the large scale sounds of Mahler’s 8th Symphony, the Symphony of a Thousand.

In this session, Alan Fearon, Chorus Master of the Northern Sinfonia Chorus, will explore the history of choral music from its humble medieval beginnings through to its contemporary form.
