By Post
You can send us a letter detailing your ticket requirements to The Sage Gateshead, St. Mary’s Square, Gateshead Quays, NE8 2JR. Please state which performances (date and time) and which ticket area you require, include any specific requirements (e.g. aisle seat), and ensure your name, address, phone number and cheque guarantee card number is on the reverse of your cheque, made payable to The Sage Gateshead.

Concessions
Concessions for under 16s, students, people over 60 and unemployed are available for many of our performances. Essential carers for those unable to attend unaccompanied are able to have a free ticket. Ask our Ticket Office for details.

Children under 2 may sit on your lap and therefore do not require a ticket, unless attending under 5s sessions, family events, family performances or workshops. For every performance, one free ticket is available for the carer of those who need assistance to attend the performance.

Group Bookings – For many of our concerts, you can book ten full price tickets and receive the eleventh ticket free.  We also welcome coach parties.

Looking for a gift?
Tickets for The Sage Gateshead make an excellent gift for people of all ages. Please tell our Customer Service Team the ticket is a gift when booking and we’ll send it either to you or to an address of your choice.  Alternatively you could buy a gift certificate[link] and let them choose their own event(s).

Ticket Office Terms and Conditions

  • The information on this site is correct at the time of going online. May we suggest that you call ticket office before leaving for an event in case of any last minute changes to line-up, start-time etc.
  • We make a non-refundable £1.50 handling fee per transaction for concert tickets booked online, over the telephone, or by post. You can book as many tickets as you like in one transaction and still be charged only £1.50. People buying tickets in person will not be charged the handling fee. Please note that this charge does not apply to our Learning and Participation classes and workshops.
  • Please buy tickets through our website, our Ticket Office, or our official agents: we cannot guarantee that tickets bought from touts, or other websites will be valid.
  • We reserve the right to refuse any ticket holder admission to a performance or event or to our building and auditoria.
  • Please ensure all mobile phones and pagers are turned off. Photography and any kind of recording is strictly prohibited during performances.
  • All of our performance spaces offer high levels of acoustic excellence and even the slightest sounds seem louder in these conditions. We ask you help to minimise noise levels that may be disturbing to other patrons and ask that sweets and snacks with wrappers are not taken into the auditoria. If you are suffering from a cough or cold on the day you have planned to attend a concert please ask to be reseated close to the exit doors to ensure you can exit easily from the performance or event in the case of a persistent bout.
  • The Sage Gateshead reserves the right to make adjustments and alter programmes, special offers and incentive rates at any time as we deem appropriate.

Ticket Exchange and Resale:

  • We regret that no refunds can be given. Tickets returned for sold out performances will be resold whenever possible.
    We are happy, where possible, to exchange tickets for another performance. This performance must be within three months of the date of exchange and the exchange must take place at least forty-eight hours prior to the start of a performance. There will be a £2 admin charge for this exchange service.
